I have spent my free time out exploring the natural wonders in the USA. Along the way we became interested in landscape photography. I progressed from film to slides to digital. I now use digital photos and video to record my travels. I have used all types of photo equipment to expand and improve my range of photographs. I am also set up to edit and store our photography along the way. This allows me to review my shots in the field before I move on to the next location. My equipment for travel and camping has also improved to allow me to go further for longer time and in more comfort. I have progressed from tent camping out of my car and on ATV to a travel trailer. Leading me to now using a highly modified Jeep Jeepster Commando and a custom built small off-road trailer with an AutoHome roof top tent for trips. Even though this is a small trailer I still have a shower, portable toilet, a refrigerator and small kitchen area. This trailer can be setup as a base camp or towed for off-road for a more secluded camp.

   Some of my favorite areas of travel are the High Deserts of the South West (AZ, CA, NV, NM and UT) and the West Coast (CA, OR and WA). I try to plan several trips a year exploring new areas and revisiting old favorite areas. I live and work out of Northern California; this makes a good central starting point for our Expeditions.

   My other interests include Astronomy, Geology, Woodworking and Metal fabrication.
